Different, Yet The Same

I’m currently working on a photo project for class based on 24 things that are different, yet the same. I decided to base this idea around 24 different people’s hair. Everyone’s hair has it’s own unique texture and array of colors it gives off in light and I was dying to capture them. Here are the first couple of photos in the series.

I don’t know why I don’t muse and ramble about models, photographers and fashion collections on this blog because that’s usually what I do for fun. Research and a lot of it. But what research would be complete without the final oogling and awing over your finds?

I just recently came across Willy Vanderperre’s photography and I instantly fell in love with it. He has a very distinctive style on how he uses light in his photos and I find it very inspiring. His style is simple yet effective. With constant styling by Olivier Rizzo, the two are an effective pair to get the message across simply yet with style. I love the campaigns he did for Jil Sander!
