    I’ve never truly understood the saying “Birds of a feather flock together” until today. I got dropped off in this potential-friendship-wasteland of a school and haven’t really made any friends I can relate to until now.

    I made jokes in high school about finding the “rebels” in the tiny conservative college I was attending. Yet once I got there I got nervous. They were impossible to find if they existed at all. Until one day I got thrown in with them completely unprepared. We all share one common interest and because of it we all desire to get along so well and will probably succeed.

    We all share this so called “feather” it seems and it drew us together somehow.
    I never truly understood it until today.

    There’s no place like home.
    Home is where the heart is.

    Thats what they say and I’m starting to believe it’s true. In ways I hate how things have changed after being gone for a few months. But at the same time it’s quite refreshing to be around constant memories. Places and people that made you happy and remind you of where you’re from. Reminders of all the good times that were had. I’m home again.

    Yet good things never last and I’m heading back to my new life in a couple hours. I find myself full of both dread and relief.

    There comes those times in life when that thing which you’ve longed for for so long loses its overall appeal once you acquire it. I’m experiencing one of those times. Something I suffered and cried over for so long as finally made an appearance in my life and there is nothing more I want than for it to be non-existing.

    Such a downer. The grass isn’t always greener on the other side…

    Being born in the 90s means I was basically brought up on the internet and when I’m lacking it for long periods of time I tend to loose it a bit. I’m a compulsive internet checker and when Gmail isn’t always in instant reach of my fingers my mind begins to race thinking of all the things I’m missing. I’ve been at college for a little more than a week or so and its been hell without having access to the internet. What’s a real college student without Facebook?

    Well here I am. I’m back with a vengeance! Not only am I back, but I’m back in style with a new MacBook Pro that so far is fulfilling all my desires.

    College life is good. It’s nice not having anything to do all day and its not uncommon to sit in one’s dorm room for hours on end surfing the internet and talking to your room mate sitting across the room through Facebook chats. Ahh! The good life.
