Dread It Up!

In case you didn’t know I’m slightly obsessed with dreads and the whole process of dreading. A while back I was seriously contemplating dreading up my hair but with my desire to model someday I’ve been a bit hesitant. My plan is to just make my own book with photos I’ve taken and head to New York someday and hit up all the main agencies and see what happens. If that doesn’t work out I’m dreading it up as soon as I get home.

In the meantime a month or two ago I had a friend start a dread in my hair. It’s starting to get super solid and look beautiful. I love how perfect my hair texture is for dreads. The little secret on my rapid dread progression is the fact that only half of it is actually attached to my head. Intrigued? You should be.

For anyone with some dreads who is impatient for it to grow, here’s a little trick. As a girl, when I give my hair a good solid combing/brushing I collect a lot of hair in my comb. You take the hair that collects, roll it up in your palms and you have an instant dread extension from your own hair! Take the extension and simply sew it on to you existing dread.

A Picnic Party

The lovely Megan Mcisaac came home for a few days before she headed back out to Portland and had a potluck picnic and invited a few friends. The carrot cake and company were fantastic.

I keep telling myself I need to get out west and see whats out there. I’ve been told consistently by other people how much I would love it.

I’m extremely obsessed with dreads in case you didn’t know.
