The Mysterious Allure of Strangers

This isn’t fashion related in the slightest but it was too good to not blog about. I came across this site Missed Connections a few minutes ago and it’s probably one of the loveliest things I’ve seen in a while.

If there’s one thing I’m a master of it’s having those awkward connections or memories of strangers I’ve come across in day-to-day activities but too scared to say anything. Then the person lingers in your mind for the next couple of days and there’s nothing to be done about it.

Plus these illustrations are absolutely adorable. It makes you wonder if one of these were about you….Missed Connections.

Warpaint – Elephants

Warpaint is probably one of the best musical discoveries I’ve come across in a long while. They have yet to even release a full album but their EP and demo CD has made me beyond excited for what’s to come. They contain slight influences of Sonic Youth, Blonde Redhead and something else wonderful that I can’t put my finger on. I’m obsessed.

So I decided to just go for it and got my first tattoo this past weekend. I’m so in love with it. It’s a tattoo that’s forever going to have to be explained to people but in the end it’s worth it.

A symbolism of my love for simple geometric design, my favorite music group (Massive Attack) and the progress in my life. The journey between the old self, the stage of transition and who I’m ultimately intended to become.

At the Train Station

I apologize for my severe lack in posting of late. I’ve been out of town and just downright lazy.
My friend took some photos of this outfit I wore while I visited her in Illinois. We had plenty of time for photos considering we missed our train to Chicago by a mere four seconds all because the station only takes cash for tickets. So out came the camera and I began prancing around for some photos.
