I have to apologize for my lack of posts of late. I’m at a point in my life where I have a lot going through my head and there are some things I’m wrestling with in my personal life. I just haven’t been in the spirit or mood for taking photos and blogging of late and I’m not sure what to do about it exactly.

I will continue to blog on and off over the next couple of weeks but don’t expect it often. I have a few entries that have been sitting on the back burner and then after that….who knows? I just need some time to collect my thoughts and gather the pieces of me that have become spread out all over the place. I’m trying, yet I’m not there yet.

Thanks for your patience and for those who still read this despite my absence.

I don’t know why I don’t muse and ramble about models, photographers and fashion collections on this blog because that’s usually what I do for fun. Research and a lot of it. But what research would be complete without the final oogling and awing over your finds?

I just recently came across Willy Vanderperre’s photography and I instantly fell in love with it. He has a very distinctive style on how he uses light in his photos and I find it very inspiring. His style is simple yet effective. With constant styling by Olivier Rizzo, the two are an effective pair to get the message across simply yet with style. I love the campaigns he did for Jil Sander!

Piece Of Art

What I wore to the museum with a friend who came to visit for the weekend . This outfit makes me feel like a rich diva which in reality couldn’t be any further from the truth. I shop at Goodwill for goodness sakes! I found this coat on the sale racks on Target back when I was doing my Christmas shopping and it was just screaming my name. It adds an animalistic nature to all my looks.

The Courtyard

I wore this to the museum to waste some time with a friend who came to visit for the weekend. I found this jumper the other day while cleaning out some boxes in my room. My mom went crazy when she saw me wearing it. It was her’s back in the 70s and she ooh-ed and aw-ed over the fact that it fit me perfectly. I wish she would have kept her whole wardrobe from back in the day for me to wear. I feel like I would have loved it.

This look kind of has a lot going on in it. Lot of prints, patterns and shapes but I like my style like that. Slightly obnoxious and a bit of an explosion to the eye. It gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside.

The Mysterious Allure of Strangers

This isn’t fashion related in the slightest but it was too good to not blog about. I came across this site Missed Connections a few minutes ago and it’s probably one of the loveliest things I’ve seen in a while.

If there’s one thing I’m a master of it’s having those awkward connections or memories of strangers I’ve come across in day-to-day activities but too scared to say anything. Then the person lingers in your mind for the next couple of days and there’s nothing to be done about it.

Plus these illustrations are absolutely adorable. It makes you wonder if one of these were about you….Missed Connections.
